Our mission is to provide educational and financial resources, coordinate community service and engagement opportunities, and essential items to students and families in the Metro Detroit Area.

Doughboys Give Back, began in 2017 by a group of Pershing High School Alumni to support Pershing High School students. We became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in April 2021 to expand our fundraising capabilities and better serve Pershing, the students, and the community at-large.  

Donations to Doughboys Give Back allows us to sponsor many valuable events and services throughout the year including:

• An Open House for all Pershing seniors which includes gifts bags filled with essential items.

• A Meet-and-Greet - Journey to Graduation where high school students are provided information and support on graduation requirements. 

• Assisting senior students with financial needs including:  Paying off their Senior Dues, Purchasing Prom Tickets, and Dressing & Grooming them for Prom.                      

• Sponsoring a Winter Care Package Giveaway for over 750 Students at Davison Elementary- Middle School to help keep students warm.

• Sponsoring a Senior Citizen Engagement Day which includes playing games, writing, coloring, and working on jigsaw puzzles with seniors.
